Cathie and the Army Band first got together when “Hubert the Clockmaker” was commissioned from the New Zealand composer Kit Powell by the Band for its annual Christchurch concerts. Under the musical direction of Major J. D. (Jim) Carson, MBE, Cathie recorded this and other tracks for the New Zealand Army band record - ‘Something Else’.
