‘home for Christmas’

A glorious Victorian entertainment

Cathie Harrop and Max Cryer invited everyone to a glimpse of a musical and theatrical past, with the entertainment and the hospitality that was a part of the grand homes and the larger families in the early days of Victorian Auckland.

As usual Christmas festivities included a get together with family and friends, many of whom have returned from far flung places to come together with their loved ones. Everyone joined in the entertainment with their party pieces, and a good time was had by all.

Of course, Paul Harrop with Jennie and Dave Khan added to the musical mix.

As usual everyone was welcomed with a wine or juice and had a chance to view historic Alberton in all its style.

After the concert the supper on the verandah was a great place to catch up with all and sundry.

Sadly this was the last in a long 30 year history of christmas concerts staged and performed by Cathie and she would like to thank all of her faithful audience who had become friends over the years.

Thank you all for your support
